My work is about being a woman. I look at this experience from multiple angles - as a woman perceiving the world, and a woman perceived. My paintings show the unguarded moment between the private vulnerable domain of sleep and public stage on which we perform awake - the short time before we don our costumes and engage once again our social roles as wives, mothers, professionals.
